Hanuman, also known as Maruti, Bajrangabali, and Anjaneya, is a beloved figure in Hinduism. He's a divine being who looks like a monkey and is a loyal friend to Rama, another important deity. Hanuman is famous for his endless devotion to Rama and is considered to live forever (chiranjivi). According to stories, he's the son of the wind god Vayu. Some people believe he's an incarnation of the god Shiva, while others think he's Vayu's son. His adventures are told not only in the Ramayana but also in other Hindu texts like the Mahabharata and various Puranas.
